Ronell Agee Obituary, Death – A man from Rochester has been confirmed as the victim of a fatal shooting that took place during a block party in Auburn last weekend. According to the Auburn Police Department, officers were patrolling the area near Oak Creek Town Homes on Saturday night, around 9:40 p.m., due to a large gathering. While monitoring the event, they suddenly heard a series of gunshots coming from nearby Chapman Avenue.

Responding immediately to the sound of gunfire, officers arrived at the scene and discovered two individuals: 35-year-old Davon Dixon, who was reportedly armed, and 43-year-old Ronell Agee, who had sustained several gunshot wounds and was lying on the ground. Authorities later confirmed that Agee was a resident of Rochester.

Police said they ordered Dixon to drop his weapon, and he allegedly complied. He was then taken into custody without further incident.

Officers began providing medical assistance to Agee while waiting for emergency medical personnel to arrive. Once on scene, paramedics transported him to Auburn Community Hospital. Sadly, despite their efforts, Agee was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Following the incident, Dixon was formally charged with second-degree murder and second-degree criminal possession of a weapon. Authorities have not disclosed any further details regarding the motive behind the shooting or the relationship between Dixon and Agee, if any.

Investigators are continuing their efforts to gather more information about the events that led to the deadly encounter. The Auburn Police Department is asking members of the public to come forward if they witnessed the shooting or have any relevant details.
